Deacon Doug Delzeith
Deacon Doug Delzeith was born and reared in a small farming community in Northern Ohio where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Renee. After completing an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, he entered the US Army in 1980 as a Military Policeman.
Twenty-four years, two daughters, multiple family moves and military
deployments later, Deacon Doug retired in 2004 as a Command Sergeant
Major to the Hinesville area where he currently works as a civil
servant on Fort Stewart.
Deacon Doug was ordained as Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Savannah
on 26 May 2012 and assigned by the Bishop to tend to the flock at Saint
Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church. He holds a Master's
Degrees in both Theology and Criminology.
Deacon Doug and the love of his life, Renee, cherish time spent with
their daughters and eight grandchildren. His love of Family,
friends and the Lord are his daily motivation to dedicate his life to
the service of the Catholic Church and others.
Deacon Doug and his wife, Renee, teach the RCIA classes at St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church.
